Statement of Faith

We believe there is one sovereign God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He has revealed Himself in creation, history, in Jesus Christ, and in God’s Word, the Bible.

We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are inspired by God and inerrant in the original writing, so that they are fully trustworthy and of supreme and final authority in all they say.

We believe in God’s creation of the world and humankind, and in humanity’s rebellion and subsequent sinful nature.

We believe in the person and work of Jesus Christ, including His deity, virgin birth, sinless life, humanity, miracles, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, ascension to Heaven, and His coming personal return.

We believe that all who choose to follow the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are given new lives empowered by the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit in salvation and by whose indwelling the Christ follower is enabled to live out the image of God and to grow in the knowledge and practice of the principles of God’s Word.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the non-saved — the saved unto the resurrection of life and the non-saved unto the resurrection of the dead.

We believe in the unity of all followers in the Lord Jesus Christ and in the importance of the local Church for worship, service, and relationships.

We believe in the covenant of marriage, and although the Bible states divorce is permissible in two circumstances — adultery, Matthew 5:31–32; and abandonment, 1 Corinthians 7:15 — we will do all that we can to preserve marriage.

We believe sex is a gift from the Lord and is a physical, emotional, and spiritual expression of loving intimacy between one man and one woman, only to be expressed in a covenantal marriage relationship.
